چکیده
Observing the nanoporous structure inside membranes has been one of greatest challenges in membrane research, and many recent studies have employed positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy, among other methods, to gain structural insights. In this report, we demonstrate significant potential Raman spectroscopy for investigating under situ conditions. Sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) cellulose triacetate asymmetric hollow fiber were fabricated their structures examined using spectroscopy. The dimensions, mechanical properties, reverse osmosis (RO) performances also measured. estimated by correlated very well with properties RO performances. This study indicated that represents a promising method detecting desalination applications, furthermore, it would be good tool developing optimized structures.

Fabrication of Crosslinkable Hollow Fiber Membranes for Pervaporation Dehydration
Integrally-skinned asymmetric Polyetherimide/Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PEI/PVA) hollow fber membranes for pervaporation dehydration were fabricated by non-solvent induced phase inversion. PVA inside the PEI matrix could be crosslinked to provide membrane performance stability during long term operation. The effects of different PEI/PVA blend ratio, external coagulant type and...
متن کاملMultilayer Nanoporous Graphene Membranes for Water Desalination.
While single-layer nanoporous graphene (NPG) has shown promise as a reverse osmosis (RO) desalination membrane, multilayer graphene membranes can be synthesized more economically than the single-layer material. In this work, we build upon the knowledge gained to date toward single-layer graphene to explore how multilayer NPG might serve as a RO membrane in water desalination using classical mol...

We describe a novel approach for optically detecting DNA translocation events through an array of solid-state nanopores that potentially allows for ultra high-throughput, parallel detection at the single-molecule level. The approach functions by electrokinetically driving DNA strands through sub micrometer-sized holes on an aluminum/silicon nitride membrane. During the translocation process, th...
متن کاملHollow core photonic crystal fiber based viscometer with Raman spectroscopy.
The velocity of a liquid flowing through the core of a hollow core photonic crystal fiber (driven by capillary forces) is used for the determination of a liquid's viscosity, using volumes of less than 10 nl. The simple optical technique used is based on the change in propagation characteristics of the fiber as it fills with the liquid of interest via capillary action, monitored by a laser sourc...
متن کاملPolyethersulfone Hollow Fiber Membranes for Hemodialysis
Polyethersulfone (PES) is one of the most important polymeric materials and is widely used in separation fields. PES and PES-based membranes show outstanding oxidative, thermal and hydrolytic stability as well as good mechanical and film-forming properties. PES membranes could endure many kinds of sterilized methods, including epoxy ethane gas, steam, and γ-ray. Furthermore, PES-based membranes...
